FSB Gift Program

At FSB, being able to give back to local charitable organizations is one reason we love coming to work everyday!

Advisory Board of Directors

In 1999, the Bank established an Advisory Board of Directors to help the bank stay connected in the communities we serve. The Board is composed of individuals who live and are involved in our communities.

Community Endowment Fund

Farmers State Bank and the Advisory Board set up an endowment fund strictly used to support organizations within the communities we serve. The organizations that are eligible to receive assistance from the endowment fund must be located within the following areas: Calhan, Edison, Ellicott, Falcon, Hanover, Matheson, Peyton, Ramah, Rush, Simla, and Yoder.

For the Bank to contribute, the project must be for civic and charitable purposes. To be eligible, the organization must fully complete and submit an application to the Advisory Board.  The Board meets once per quarter to review the merits of each application and decides which project(s) will receive a donation. Farmers State Bank is the sole contributor to the endowment fund.

Some of the projects which have received our monetary support include:

The Simla Good Samaritan Center received a grant to purchase a new whirlpool tub/bathing system for residents.

The Calhan Lions Club received a grant for their Kidspree program which purchases school clothing and supplies for approximately 100 children in Eastern El Paso County.

The Big Sandy Fire Protection District received a grant to purchase a new LifePak 12 lead AED.

The Falcon Fire Protection District received a grant to purchase a LUCAS Chest Compression System for their ambulances.

High Plains Helping Hands received a grant to purchase a storage container for food.
